She sipped her wine and fought the temptation to dig out her phone from her purse. Tonight, she was going to be present.
She glanced around to find someone to mentally judge. Her eyes fell on a lone figure perched in a corner booth drinking a whiskey straight. He had a full head of dark, rampant hair, and a determined chin.He was not on his phone either. He just starred intently at the drink in front of him like he was in deep conversation with it
